FunctionA Poem by Undying Hate (Hanna)A poem about a special someone who won't just tell me how they feel. Good if you've been crushed by a crush or have experienced a breakup...Mouth Your mouth regurgitates those acid words Spitting a hole through my heart It shows me that you care, Then the next day that you don't Your mouth refuses to tell me what you feel The ultimate war against your heart But you don't even care do you? Do you like watching me fall apart?
Brain I don't know what your brain thinks Always shrouded in mystery Maybe it doesn't think at all Or at least not about me Heart and brain work together To keep me from knowing the truth But in the internal war of the mind I'm hoping your brain will lose
Heart An endless pit of betrayal Sucking, dragging me in But in the war of heart and mouth The heart always wins But would your heart give in If I told you how I feel? Or should I wait in the shadows For your heart to unseal? I'm starting to doubt That your heart's even real
The three evil parts Working to make a function Of lies, denial, and unfeeling I'm just waiting for a malfunction... © 2010 Undying Hate (Hanna)Author's Note
