A Poem by Undying Hate (Hanna)
"

A poem about a special someone who won't just tell me how they feel. Good if you've been crushed by a crush or have experienced a breakup...

"

Mouth

Your mouth regurgitates those acid words

Spitting a hole through my heart

It shows me that you care,

Then the next day that you don't

Your mouth refuses to tell me what you feel

The ultimate war against your heart

But you don't even care do you?

Do you like watching me fall apart?

Brain

I don't know what your brain thinks

Always shrouded in mystery

Maybe it doesn't think at all

Or at least not about me

Heart and brain work together

To keep me from knowing the truth

But in the internal war of the mind

I'm hoping your brain will lose

Heart

An endless pit of betrayal

Sucking, dragging me in

But in the war of heart and mouth

The heart always wins

But would your heart give in

If I told you how I feel?

Or should I wait in the shadows

For your heart to unseal?

I'm starting to doubt

That your heart's even real

The three evil parts

Working to make a function

Of lies, denial, and unfeeling

I'm just waiting for a malfunction...

I like the expression of different parts... True man. True.

No Jessa, it's not about you. You know who it's about...and I would like to draw attention to the first review I got because she really got the message I was trying to send across and worded it nicely.

Please don't tell me this is about me... Is it?

Haha that's really funny! But I knew we were so much alike anyway! I'll be sure to read it!

I actually just uploaded a poem with a similar mind / heart struggle haha. We're so much alike it's scary. ;)

Wow, this honestly one of my favorite poems now. In some ways I can relate to both the speaker and unfortunatly, the subject of the poem. The mind really does have to give up in order to allow you to admit your feelings for someone. It's trying to keep you safe and using logic to dissuade you from saying what you want.

Very well written, thanks for sharing.
