Hate Your Ways

A very angry poem. Good for people who are mad at someone or have experienced a friend betrayal...I know I have

I hate the way you manipulate me

And the way you spread your lies

I hate how you just use me

Create my own demise

I hate how you think you can spin the world around your finger

But mostly I hate that you can

Suck out all my happiness

Drain out all my love

Leave me on the street to die

And watch me get back up

Come crawling back to me

Once you think I've been refilled

Suck me back in again

Then go in for the kill

I hate the way you drain my heart

Hard to think about anything else

Take away my inspiration

And leave me with big fat welts

I hate the way you make me your friend

So loyal at your side

Always keep coming back

So long and hard I tried

I'm so sick of this abuse

I'm so sick of all your lies

I'm so sick of everything you've done to me

Now it's my turn to say goodbye

That was beautiful, emotional, pulling, inspirational and (not trying to get too cheesy here)...amazing.
The way the words and the rhythm pull the reader in, captivating their imagination and heart so that they feel the real emotion of the author.
I especially love the last line "Now it's my turn to say goodbye" and only wish it were so easy. I know, especially when someone has gone through what it stated in this poem, it is extremely hard to let go.

I like this.... I think it's mostly 'cause I've been there, done that and have the t-shirt so to say. I like how the last line's effective in ending this, there's no questioning it (like is there more).

Wow, did you observe a fight between me and my ex best friend? This descrabes exactly how i felt dealing with her. It's ver emotional and deep. I absolutely adore your view in this poem.
