The Rose

The Rose

A Poem by Undying Hate (Hanna)
"

A cute little story-like poem about 3 people and a rose. Had to do with my feelings at the time. Read and enjoy!

"

A red rose escapes from a young man's grasp

And falls into hers, receiving at last

The two are lovers, I cannnot say

In fact, she had to fight the urge to walk away

He said those three words she wanted so long to hear

But after loving another man, those words she now feared

After the words were spoken, the red rose faded gray

Then a dreary world would dawn upon another day

With the rose she sat, upon her front step

A quiver on her lip as she silently wept

The man who had caused her so much pain, so much grief

As he said "loved her", she thought in disbelief

Until the other man came and saw the girl on the step

She immediatly stopped crying, and wiped her eyes

He whispered those same three words, and she knew they weren't lies

She smiled and the gray rose flushed with color

And so their love began, stronger than any other

I liked this one a lot but I did notice one thing ... you put greif instead of grief. Anyways this was a very cool poem.

Excellent! Very eloquently worded! I loved it! I pictured some sort of a Victorian scene... I don't know why but I absolutely loved it. Very nice job.
