in the night

in the night

A Poem by S. G. Webb

I mourned tonight,
of time lost under moonlight,
when the shadows
would be envious
of our presence
and the feeling of breath
against breath.
The stars
are all laid out,
waiting to be counted
or forgotten again,
but still burning
in infinite glory,
somewhere recalling
our past that we paved
into the sky.

"The stars

--
"somewhere recalling
our past that we paved
into the sky."
--
beautiful play with words.. and imagination..
the night with it's moonlight and stars always embraces this melancholic, sad feeling inside of us.. just lovely.
