Butterflies ~

Butterflies ~

A Poem by J. J. Nightingale
"

AN OLD WRITE.."BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE"..

"

Blood flowed through infinite fragile paths

butterflies tapped inside a satin heart

innocence  fluttered in struggle ..to be

Tethered and blind in a void without time

alone between fate and heaven's wake

Warmed  with whispers and wishes sweet ?

then found wanting .. put out and away ...

conveniently..to sleep...

J.J.

i connected myself with the picture...and i just wonder how wonderful it would fell when a life is born in our own body...it might be a wonderful feeling..we can feel each and every single movement...magical time..i just can't define my words for this piece i am feeling so touched right at this moment....i am in love with the idea of thinking how it would feels being a mom...great words you left me blank...

The Chinese (perhaps, the oldest culture on earth) believe when a person is birthed into the visual world, it is their first birthday, or that their true birth was at conception.
I think this is a matter of defining semantics, as when life is sparked, it is life, regardless its age.
Your butterfly analogy fits this premise perfectly, in a far more beautiful poetic voice … bless the innocent infant born in its mother's warm and loving, protective womb.

A tear brimmed this olde bard's eye, down over his heart.
Softly and wondrously spake, Jasmine … I reverently bow! ⁓ Richard

Ancient writers held diverse views on the subject of the beginning of personhood, understood as the soul's entry or development in the human body. This composition highlights the reasoning to support conception as the beginning!
Wonderful write and thoughtfully structured.

Butterflies might seem fragile, but they want not only to live, but to fly---and each new human life has the same goals, i believe...
