To the parents of public school kids

To the parents of public school kids

A Poem by John Fitzgerald

Relax

‘cause your kids...feel injustice more
than you do;
Relax.
Be not...the jealous jailer.
Relax
‘cause you don’t have money
or the time
Relax
Be at home when you’re there; and leave
your endless striving.
Relax
Causes are great;
when you have the money
and the Time.
Relax
Be honest and at home
with yourselves
Relax
‘cause you alone aren’t enough -
who among us are?
Relax
Be-gin from where you are;
Relax
Because you’re making it impossible for them
To be relaxed.

As a public school kid, I completely understand what you are saying to parents. Nice job.
