There are dreams and dreams within dreams; daydreams, nightmares and moments of sheer nostalgic recall. What do we see? What do we want to see? Do the street signs hang like art or garbage in the breeze? We can look and not see or see and not fully comprehend. The pixilated dot becomes clearer the further we move away and it joins the scheme of a bigger picture. But we can never get the perspective of the whole because we are part of the picture.

Surreal and mysterious, light and clever. I really enjoyed this almost whimsical piece of art. It is mindfullness for the troubled. Lighter for the seeker and rich for the artist. I love it.

Ach yer bums oot the windah, yer arse is parsley so it is ye ken! But I appreciate it.
“Woolen eyelids dry as desert gray.” For some reason this line stands out to me.
Your profound poem reminds me how important it is to live each day to the fullest down to the last details, especially as we grow older. Live in the moment and take not one thing for granted. Love this one!

I have been distracted lately with different things going on in my life. This place feels like home and it’s so nice to come back to dear friends as you. I Iook forward to reading more of ‘you’.
The wandering of the mind as it searches for purpose. Yes those boxcars on the track, what is in them? From experience, as many times as not, they are empty.

Wonderful! Am silently cheering! Tis true we change through life, each time gaining or losing little this and thats. Have older siblings and frends who mention sly disappearances of for instance, forgetting someone's name.. Who, me? Never! Ha, it certainly happens!. And for the reasons you have so cleverly, subtly, wittily (and otherwise), included in this terrific poem. Read it twice, found it akin to Alice and her looking glass - not sure how but did. Tone and more writing here, sir. Will read again, thank you.

woolen eye lids dry as desert gray, speak to me of the dryness of age and perhaps the dullness of vision that comes with aging. The images drawn are stark and I loved it. The dung beetles scratching, added to that effect. The second part of the poem was equally interestingly worded, coarse grain sugar clinging to the frosted rim, such delightful imagery. I would love it if my orbs began playing such tricks on me when I age. It would make for such mindblowing poetry!

hi einstein, i particularly liked the first stanza, your pictorial descriptions.
i had to look up the north American word 'boxcar', I wasn't familiar with it.
don't know if you wanna know, but there are 2 sp. mistakes... woolen --> woollen.
rue sauce comes from the french --> 'roux' which is a browned butter & flour white sauce & is yummy.

Perspective is a funny thing; but the older we get, the more observant we become. I really appreciate how keen we become as we age, how much more thoughtful we are of the smallest things. Well done.
