An Act of Seeing

An Act of Seeing

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

When the Mind's Eye Is Blind - Scientific American
from "When the minds eye is blind" - Scientific America

An Act of Seeing

woolen eye lids dry as desert gray
dung beetles scratching out imaginative existence
silly orbs playing tricks

i was eating clam spaghetti in white rue sauces and
drinking some exotic, frozen ................................
crystal-
sweet elixir with
coarse grain sugar clinging to the frosted rim

like boxcars to the track

I guess some things are just a mystery

There are dreams and dreams within dreams; daydreams, nightmares and moments of sheer nostalgic recall. What do we see? What do we want to see? Do the street signs hang like art or garbage in the breeze? We can look and not see or see and not fully comprehend. The pixilated dot becomes clearer the further we move away and it joins the scheme of a bigger picture. But we can never get the perspective of the whole because we are part of the picture.

Sometimes we see things with clarity and sometimes, we do not; but we have other senses like drinking some mysterious concoction and that we can still enjoy...."those gentle voices I hear"....seeing new things in a different way, finding our path on our own journey....."I;m just beginning to see.... it doesn't matter" those good old Moody Blues, love them!!!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the running of the orbs! LOL, I am so familiar with that brain fog these days Einstein I don't even need a fancy cocktail anymore it comes to me all naturally these days:) But the fun thing about having a broken brain is I often do see things with a different slant now whether or not that slant is always correct I leave it up to the jury LOL as always... clever mr einstein

Hi there,
I too was away for awhile..one thing after another..Recently I broke my clavicle bone, falling on our terra cotta kitchen floor and landing on a hot tray (right out from the oven) of burning hot cheese appetisers..so not only a broken clavicle, but 2nd degree burns as well on my back!! Talk about painful.
I am typing with on finger on my left hand.
Inspiration is a funny thing...isn't it...
Well, I am delighted to read another one of your very clever poems!

Well, Mr. E, it's been quite a while since I've visited the cafe and, behold, you have a few new ones I haven't had the pleasure of reading. I like that this one is light and, not as deep as many of yours tend can be. Sometimes our eyes do play tricks on us. Mysteries abound! Glad to see you writing again. Temp

Sir Noodle!!!
I see you have tricked me once more, with your writes that somehow seem to dissolve from my newsfeed, while others actually get real actual updates, actually! (that is actually way too many actually's... actually.)
I may have finally figured out your writing trickology. I reckon one of us are drinking a sweet elixir and the other is drinking absinthe!
If it is you, well each to their own, but if it is I, just leave him alone, he's quite happy there, not realising he's quacking at ducks while n****e deep in a pond.
But why is that big duck looking at me with question mark eyebrows and shaking his head?
Are you that big duck? 😊
Ps... Don't tell the nurse I'm awake again. She might think that fake badge fools us into thinking her name is Jones, but I bet it says nurse Ratched underneath! 😊
