Such a darkness to this piece. Yet so relatable for now...Bullets to the heads....People take bullets to their heads as calmly as we would take a hat to our heads! No patience, no endurance, no fortitude. They say a lot and then there is silence. Their screams drown unheard. The shattered casing of their heads, their 15 minutes of fame. A Poem from you after so long, dear E and certainly one to remember and return for re-reads. Loved it and the lovely artwork too! ❤🙋♀️❤

If you love the process of creating one then let it take forever. I love my journeys with writing more than the destinations I reach with my words. So may you have much joy and bliss-filled days with poetry and of course in the blessed warmth and light of the fireplace and the generators! :)
The formatting works well with the darkness of the theme.

Ah the image you paint here. Dark, and broken. The last line is so powerful to me, “and then there is silence in the screaming”.
You write it like flashes of images once seen and never recovered from.
It is real and therein lies the beauty!

This piece has such strong emotion..Some screams are so silent that it becomes deadly.. And some screams of pain are so loud that when we fail to acknowledge them they give up.. They become the invisible bugs we feel crawling on our skin, and when we finally look.. there gone..

Indeed they are.. But as one said they are usually ignored
Powerful and strong poetry written Einstein.
shattered scatterings like
dead winter leaves blowing and breaking crushed burning"
I liked the strength of the above lines. You made the reader feel and understand. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

such a beautiful voice she has ....
As i read your words and listened to the music the words became all powerful in making me fill up with images of horror and destruction from man's inhumanity to fellow men.

Certainly a brutal rendering of some proportions. I don't know that we can see this sort of thing all around us. I prefer to think like Jewel Kilcher that, "Maybe if we are surrounded in beauty someday we will become what we see" but if our light has become darkness, how deep then is that darkness? Maybe we see what we want to see. But maybe that's why I don't watch the evening news anymore.

I like the line, "and then there is silence in the screaming."
More often then not, there is screaming in the silence.

They are our head. Some heads talking. Some heads silent. Some scream for all the reasons there are to scream. Even if we hide under a rock we still smell them. Stinky screams. If this was mostly spontaneous, that still leaves room for intention. If your intention was to create spontaneous thought it worked on me.
