How can such a beauty be indeed Sir E. A perfect contradiction of perfection and what others would mark down as negatives, but only someone who truly sees beauty can notice split ends and oven burns and still see perfection.
I hide my split ends behind a beanie these days and barely bare my skin in these sub Arctic days... Which is just as well as dating here involves so many layers it more resembles a game of pass the parcel than anything that could even be called lukewarm action.

Appreciation of hair, acceptance of imperfections are so realistic in the poet's eyes; all can be fragile and note-worthy. He raises a good question at the end.

Wow! Much appreciated dear poet and friend. You are welcome sir Einstein
Finding the beauty in our imperfections is a sign of love and appreciation. You can find beauty almost anywhere with the right people. The scars become stories or part of their image that attracts you more to them.

Ah, I remember reading this one. I left a review from my old account before it was wiped out by whatever bug took half of WC. I just had to abandon it. It's interesting how the little things in life become beautiful to us. How certain qualities in people; a scar, a way of talking, a laugh can become precious in our mental image of them. I knew a girl once who had a raspy laugh that gave her away in a crowd. She died years ago from cancer but I still remember that laugh. Here. it is the hair that settles on the admirer's heart and a tiny scar. A interesting and intriguing piece of poetry. I enjoyed the read.

The wipe out did not affect or infect all the writers here but some who had been here since Charlie opened the site. Fran Marie's account, mine and at least a dozen others were affected. This was over a course of a few weeks so it might have been a worm or a trojan virus. I don't know. I remember the wipe out that took down the writing of many other writers (some of them my friends) after the site had been up just a few years. A lot of people left after that debacle. I was on My Space for awhile, Cold Coffee and Mind's Eye on Multiply and Gingatao, a site ran by my good friend and Australian Poet, Paul Squires who passed away in 2010 or thereabouts after a fall.

"She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes
And points of her own, sittin' way up high, way up firm and high." Bob Seger from Night Moves
The glory of a woman's hair is a temptation to man, indeed, especially wet and tangled coming from the beach or the bath. And those tiny eccentricities, a laugh, a smile a scar...they plant themselves in memory to go and grow wherever we are. I enjoyed the read, my friend. Excellent verse!

A captivating write and I was transfixed by images of a beautiful woman in water throwing her long her back as you describe leaving everything else in a blur then reality checked in , where water and hot oil don’t mix, the sizzle, the heat, the oven and I thought is this when the postman rings twice with Jessica Lange( what a honey!) Fine writing indeed. What a beauty! Hats off to you.
