Crooked Lights

Crooked Lights

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

Crooked Lights
fleeting, fickle
blinking time
brinks the distance and eclipse

of light

light from the ceiling of
open cord connections

jump  ..................................  jump
to grasp fireflies flung about by electricians and
marching transcendentalists

we all jump

light bends from crooked lamps
movies swagger across center stage
books and poems written .................................
an emphasis for glowering blazing gazes

in the gloaming       (sigh)

equally entranced
eager for surprise and delight

what bloody flow lends such power
to emotions         -          off put         -         in banality

I feel flatted      -        i am flatted
               yet
still    I     can    not    walk                                                 away

it's the lights, you see.
crooked as they may be
we light our ways upon them

how lighted can they be
written in darkness?

Your mind is a prism! ( Prison prism perhaps) bending words into sensical nons. Then in the end it does make sense. Like a fractal. The balance of disjointed phrases becomes clear illuminated by the whole of this poem. I love it! How lighted can they be written in darkness you ask? Perhaps the truth is clearly seen in the dark. Like the blind seeing with their hands unencumbered by the distractions of vision. What we feel is less fickle or fleeting than what we see. Happily flatted I am. And what an amazing wire sculpture!

we all jump, but who aims for the light, and who falls into darkness, evermore?

Any poem that is built upon Einstein's theory of relativity is a good one, in my book. I mean, assuming you mean gravitational lensing. Gravitational lensing on a quantum scale, within a room, not the universe. That's almost wicked to think about.
Even without light, if we speak words of poetry, the waves of sound are subject to many influences. I guess we just write them and let them float off and see what happens?
I love this poem.

I love this Creedance song. Its in my playlist. Light bends and creates a spectrum of colors. We are all different and find comfort in different things.
To me light burns when we can’t see each other’s landscape. We all travel at different rates and in different ways. Sometimes light shines it’s brightest coming from darkness.. We see that every morning. Think Lydia said it well. You write superbly. I did enjoy pondering your write.

back at ya Ms Lady! :)
Light bends and we all see things a bit differently depending on where we are in its reflection. The gloaming....a time of expectation. A time the stars come out to dance providing more light. We have to adjust to all the light....adjust to what life throws at us. Not always a straight arrow for sure. E, your poetry has always made me think and this one is no exception. Very well written.
