I consider myself a centrist (I was center-left before the whole pronouns scene erupted, and now I am definitely more right-leaning). Every day, we witness a new demand from this crowd, and every day they go out of their way to erase women. The whole situation reminds me of the emperor's new clothes story with the naked emperor prancing about and most of the public pretending they don't see the obvious, lest they be shamed. It's a false civil rights movement where the "rights" that they demand are actually privileges that trample upon the rights of other groups (women and children). It is hilarious how they think science is on their side when it is just some greedy doctors (saying this as a doc myself) validating them for money or from fear of persecution.

How do you go about getting a new pronoun E. Do you apply for it or just tweet it? I think I'd quite liked to be known as "Thou", but I'd be too fearful that I'd turn into one of those people who introduce themselves by telling you what they are and mistaking it for a personality.
I'd also tweet this, but for the exact same reasons 😊
Whatever happened to, if you want to know what to call someone, just ask! That used to work quite well, before the labelists took over.

Hi there,
Been awhile since i have read any of yours..
This one is certainly interesting...
All this is going on...and, one just doesn't really know what to make of it...
Even when watching a movie on TV these situations come up... I can not remember the word that this teenage girl called her friend and was upset when her parents said what is your friend name and would SHE like to stay for dinner...She wanted her parents to use a different word to call her friend...not by her name... I can not remember right now... but it was something like THEM..or THEY...
This is so crazy making...maybe I am getting a bit old for all of this...
Much of this has to do with where one grows up and of course the parents...
Some areas are extremely liberal..while others are not..

I have been off WC for a month or so .. needed the break ... yes .. our culture is influenced by parents more yesteryear than today ... today a small amt. of people seem to grab all the attention and their "freedoms" are being forced on children in schools here in good ol' USA ... personally I think it is some kind of insanity ... I was raised to stand up for myself but respect everyone else ... sticks and stones can break my bones but names will never hurt me ... the world has and is moving on .. scary sometimes

This poem would be banned in Florida. There is no "we" there, only "us and them".
This is so well thought out and presented. The final line is perfection. This poem should be required reading.

What a beautiful approach to the rising wave of gender lines being crossed and confusion. Your words beautifully weave it all together with style and purpose. Simply stunning E. It’s wonderful to ‘read’ you again.

Yes, our classrooms across the land. Had my grandparents saw any of what was going on today they wouldn't believe the changes and what we're becoming. I'll bet John Wayne would kick some people's asses and yell at them to wake up and be the man...or a woman you were born as. ha

Heck, i had to look this up ..... the original Miasma Theory being quite horrifying.
Me being at an age now where i can bury my head in the sand , i rather do than dwell on unnatural things ...

a very skillfully done piece that provokes much debate...
we are what we are...and that could mean different things to different individuals.
If only the world could be more of a "we."

WOW, E.....a reflection of what is happening all across our country. Suddenly there are he, she, they, and it. Suddenly people born as men can compete against women. There is a stench to it for sure. A miasma! It is a shame that young children are taught some of these lessons. In Florida, our governor has passed a law forbidding it and the School Boards are up in arms. A very good one, E. Oh, and that graphic will make me have nightmares tonight! :) Lydi***
