Do my eyes deceive me? Is this a new poem? It most certainly is! And starts with a two-BIT word. I love to learn. Couple days ago it was crepuscular. Today, surcingle. Strapped it to my mind and will have to take the word for a ride some day. I ride your words. I loved the line, 'puts the spurs to tongues of hues and distinction'. As Kramer would say ... Giddyup Gene!

Excellently done! ... It is my own personal theory to suggest that Man was not dirt created, but literally biogenetically engineered & cloned upon this planet where the missing link is missing because there (should not have been only one but literally thousands or more as possible discovered evidence but is more logical to reason there possibly) never was a missing link to begin with, but that subtle hint to be found in Genesis, which states: "Let US make Man in our image, after OUR likeness: Sheep to sheep, Goat to goat, Man to Man, with the result being that, for all practical purposes, the only God Man has ever allegedly met was/is Man, himself as an ancient visitor to this world so every long ago ... And, in the meantime, the Human Genome is literally degenerating and devolving with and every generation of Mankind born upon this Earth ... Enjoyed the read ... If my words seemed to overlap in back and forth fashion, it is because I am a studied Ex-Minister, Ex-Preacher, and an in-depth research writer who walked away from all forms of Organized Religion years ago ... BUT ... I am not an Atheist ... Some thing or other set the wheels of Existence that is our Universe into motion of all existence which we do witness and experience — what I term as an Ultimate It, A Generative-Orhcestrator, An Extant Catalyst Reactant Ultimate Source Point Of Origin Of All Existence — or else we find ourselves, as do Atheists, proclaiming that the Universe somehow managed the magical feat of pulling itself out of the Magician's Hat of its own arse, a totally illogical and unreasonable conclusion of impossibility that is absolutely preposterous and flies in the face of Humanity's aptitude for intelligence ... Therefore, to solve the riddle, I am a Deist: One who believes that some thing (for you call it God for the sake discussion) created the Universe of our Existence, perhaps, set Man into existence upon this planet, but is currently busy doing that which it does in moving on to tend to other creations, paint to canvas of existence other galaxies, stars, planets, alternate universe, dimension's, worm holes, whatever, and IS NOT and never has been involved in any semblance of a Personal relationship with men or Man, has never met nor communicated with men or Man, though many imagine It/him to be as such or have done so via the power of suggestion ... There are those who do realize that Science, itself, has been transformed into a Religion wherein it is heretical, blasphemous, and detrimental to one's livelihood and reputation to dare question or challenge the veracity of particularly profitable to the acquisition of grants & contracts' alleged Scientific truth ... Watch the documentary movies, Scientists Under Attack, & Charlton Heston's hosted, The Ancient Origins Of Man, as very good example of the sad reality ... As for Religion, itself: was raised in the Church, preached and taught in the Church, licensed in the Church, took that leap even to the pits' leap of seeking the missionary field. ... It was I learned in preparing educationally for that field the revealed what all enlightened to the facts of what The Church (RCC) knows and possesses evidence of as real truths and not fictional fairytales that opened my eyes to the reality that Blind Faith is for the mind blinded, and there is one true Trinity: Taxes (Government), Tithes (Religion) & Lies (Media) ... ... And welcome, to the sir Noodle of Einsteinia's pot luck jamboree, where I randomly click on a title and see if I've hit the Jackpot of an as yet unreviewed piece... And it's a rollover today as I found one on the home page!!!
Now I am guessing that everyone has mentioned clicking on that word we all pretend we knew but didn't, and yes indeed, surcingle is indeedly today's bonus ball! 😊
What are the odds I confuse a lot of people by trying to mention it in every conversation. I wonder if amazon can get one here before breakfast???
Anyhoo, back to the plot. (Yes, there is a plot ya cheeky...)
Now, I'm not an expert on cloning sheep... An animal that if we're honest, all look identical to begin with, so we'll done to that genius Scotsman (we take the credit for every bloody thing) who got us all to believe that science had taken a leap so big, there was a stewards enquiry and video assistant referee was brought in to play to see if the use of a laser guided pogo stick was somehow used. (If you're still wondering, I was joking about there being a point)
Not to take away from them there's a bigger pot of lamb stew on the go at their local bar and grill, because there was also some lovely fluffy kitty called CC (Copy cat) where they didn't even bother giving the guy a photo to take to the pet shop, because it could not have looked more inkike it's mum if it barked and chased it all day until it got stuck in the cat flap that only opens if you have a chipped collar on. (am I the only one hearing that THWACK right now?)
So to cut a longer story slightly started it, if your going to start a poem with the word surcingle, then you only have yourself to blame when reviewers accidentally slip into the surreal. 😊

So, I take it it's not literally about cloning... Rather the programming - for the lack better expression - that we undergo from birth onwards.

It's funny how nobody stops to think about 'what if we've done it wrong all this time'

. We just keep repeating the same stuff and every once in a while... Like to think that we're the next latest greatest, better than those before...

Off to rope the sheep, herd them, then B.A.M., is this for real??? herd the sheep then clone them only in body not in mind we're all unique!... Hi E... Beau is an intelligent Dog... I cannot be in the Hot Sun for very long. A few days ago I was checkin some potted Orange Lillies that Survive beautifully in Big Pots. The Homes in our Circle within a Circle have all the electricity underground... so we do not plant a Garden or many Rose Bushes in the Ground and so forth. I was checking the Stems of the bright orange Lillies and was stung by a Wasp. It really Hurt. I ran in the House and told Roger Why my Hand Hurt. He asked our Smart TV using U-Tube... "What to do for the Pain of a Wasp Sting and it replied to Squeeze fresh Lemon Juice on the Sting. It really did "Soothe the Hurt fairly Quick... thank goodness... I would never guess Fresh Lemon Juice. Fortunately we keep Lemons in the Fridge. Of course we drink a lot of Lemonade in the Summer. We had a delicious Watermelon and just today a Musk Melon (or Cantaloupe).It was delicious. Of course, since Roger takes Dialysis for four years three days a Week... he cannot have a lot of Liquids or Potassium... but He cheats a little now and then. Better to cheat with Mellons instead of Women. ha ha lol x gently, Pat
