Happy All Hallowed Eve everyone!! :) my little contribution.

Ghosts   

sitting in the basement

by herself .........

...........she talks out loud............

 

startled by the sound of the human voice

cutting the darkness

she listens

she is watching CNN to 

make opinions

her words, her thoughts

come back as stones hanging on dust

(like virus)

floating and catching her breath

                      she wasn't thinking

                                        she talked out loud

                                                 

                                                         no one is there.

but ghosts.

I do think they hear us, they listen....
observe...they are there.
I experienced one once...face to face for about 30 seconds....I was too surprised to speak, and she didn't either....but the look in her eye was of someone troubled... I regret that I did not speak.

I don't fancy ghosts in real life... You never know if you ran into something more sinister than you bargained for.

Of course... Having the bad juju go on too long in my life once and needing outside help... That's not surprising.

A great piece of writing as usual.

Talking out loud, no one to listen except ghosts. That's interesting. Often when we see a person talking to themselves we assume they're crazy. Maybe they just consider themselves as their own best friend and dnjoy talking without another opinion to interfere lol. But I'd never want to see a ghost, talk about creepy!

I would like to believe in ghosts, I appreciate the concept.
Although this particular Ghost sounds a little lonely.
Because there is more than enough poor news these days, perhaps if she switched to a different channel it might cheer her up
Then again it is possible ghosts just enjoy bad news??? and she couldn't be any happier!
An interview with a ghost might help clear up these burning questions

some things are better kept in one of our "secret" compartments ;) there are many unexplainable things in this world aren't there .. and to think that the spirits of human beings may be trapped on earth for whatever reason .. is not so far fetched .. we know for certain that evil works over time in the real world .. in spirit forms .. why not angels and souls of the wandering .. thanks for reading and sharing your review with me my new found friend

I kinda believe in ghost, I could have swore and sat and talked with my deceased father. and one i think that is a demon of some sort, I had to call a ghost hunting team. It was a bad experience, let's just leave it at that.

This one goes beyond the idea of just ghosts for me....it speaks to me of loneliness. To sit in your basement watching TV and be startled by the sound of your own voice tells me that conversation and companionship has deserted her for some time. She is a ghost in a living reality. An interesting piece, Mr. Noodle. Reads much more than just a Halloween contribution to me. ⚘
