Faith, Hope and Charity

Faith

shapeless water falls
veiled mist rises over rock
pools on shaded ground

Hope

Mountains crumble down
River silt rich dark with bone
Springs fruit not planted

Charity

Earth turns on axis
Self imploding creatures spin
Forests giving green

I like your beautiful Haiku words….and how they
embrace each other, Faith, Hope and Charity, you use vivid imagery in all three….your description of faith is visual, your description of hope is depicted through a kind of tragedy, but with hope that life will be better, and you describe charity as a way of giving life by nourishing the earth with greenness.
Fine job.
Best

What wonderful encapsulated images you created for these three virtues! Faith as water. Hope as the renewal of life when mountains become earth. And charity as the earth, continuing to give as we spin about oblivious. I love this!

Loved this write. Yes we either accept renewal with grace and a lack of resistance, go with the flow, or get hit with the force of tsunami until all turns right again. Love this philosophical write. Working hard on my faith these days but then that is where I go wrong.

I enjoyed you musical selection as well:)

Love to hear that. I suppose that is litmus; true faith create fine feeling and inspired action.
Being out in nature, spirituality....which I suppose is a combo of faith, hope, and charity! your Haiku are well written and the imagery is vivid. Not all that thrilled with the music, but your words are fine indeed. Lydi**

The thing I love the most about your haiku is that you follow the crucial rule: speak thru imagery! Most people have to inject something cerebral. Humans can't help themselves. But your haiku is pure imagery, letting the reader find his/her own message. Perfect! (((HUGS)))

Was my pleasure and you are welcome my friend.
Love the posted image Mr E as much as the three Haiku you have penned. A green tree in a barren field, speaks to me of faith. It also speaks to me of hope. I have difficulty believing anything, unless I see it with my own eyes. I think that comes from my scientist father.

Your Haiku are laden with imagery. I particularly enjoyed the movement and links to the natural environment. Where there is movement, there is faith, hope and charity. You worry when there is no movement because that leads to stagnation. Thought provoking and much enjoyed and I will return to read again.
