Exhale

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

an old poem ..Exhale is used many times over the years for many titles of all kinds of things .. i think it retains its allure and power, however ... just my opinion

Exhale

My craving wailed;

(banshee on the wind)

     gripping
             petals,

     misting
             reason.

Whispers trace kisses,
                         fragmenting my thoughts.

Untamed--
          love lured me

     crimson,
          and purple.

                                        exhale.....................
                                                              ........................
                                                                              ................................................................................

Just so breathtaking (literally!) and sensual E. My heart added extra beats while reading. This is love as it should always be - teetering, suspended in the passion and heat of the moment before...just like your supremely expessive lines and perfect pauses...
Loved this hugely and thank you for pointing me to Seriana's poem as well my friend!

While I love the words...I really like the use of the ellipses/dots. IT does feel like an exhalation. Sometimes we have to do that when we are in love...just breathe. I also like the interesting juxtaposition between love and reason- sometimes these forces are opposed.

This poem brought me back to a place in time where need and first love ruled over me. This poem makes you FEEL and remember. Just amazing how you took so few words and created magic. Well done!!

I know I have used exhale and respire many times in my lines there is something congruous to those words in the absorption and sharing of self in a movement, moment, or realization that is poetry

Einstein, a breathless hello!
I truly felt myself exhale at the last word... you built just the perfect amount of expectation within these lines...
I'm inspired now to play the word myself....

I hope you are well.
