without risking failure there would be no success. better to fail than never try. bridging a divide is not an easy thing. your structure, layout and words attempt to do just that. so close, so close. we feel lost until that last step is completed. 'please don't go' - indeed ... :)

yes! you are right about that line .. i debated on whether to include it or not .. it doesn't quite fit does it? .. but i wanted to make the poem just a bit more personal and a good friend and mentor told me to leave it in by all means. ;) we do influence one another don't we?! thank you so much Ankita! great that you are around .. right here at the Cafe'

It's always a pleasure to read you, Mr. Noodle. :) I must say I have to agree with every other comment on this poem...what is success without failure? No dopamine would pump through your mind if you always succeeded and never ever failed, repetition can tend to get boring, I think. I believe that you need to fail at least once to feel the pleasure of success...si? Those last few lines tore at my heart...I honestly couldn't tell you why, but I really felt them... Like I had fallen in love with a movie character and watching his girlfriend leave him in the pouring rain (okay, I'm being a bit dramatic, lol) but I enjoyed the read!!! As always, It was so good!!!

Isn’t funny how powerful failure is because we only learn from our mistakes and maybe that is why we place a lot of emphasis on failures and have the scars as reminders so we try not to travel down this road again.

It kinda makes me
think of my past toxic
relationship I was in it
was like silent dead air
a dead passion.

Failure to understand
each others hurt or our words
in silence but I became the mature one and walked away
and healed ☺

In this poem I see two lovers being lost for words as if the air has taken their breath away and they tried but it was time to go their separate ways.
