Failure

Failure

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

Say Something
Without words
No breath can move a
life source to the brain

Its like falling into a grain

bin:

a quick sand death
choked with chaff and seed dust

I can't breath
I am at a loss                  lost

without words but
stay with me and

please don't go               please

Don't Go!

without risking failure there would be no success. better to fail than never try. bridging a divide is not an easy thing. your structure, layout and words attempt to do just that. so close, so close. we feel lost until that last step is completed. 'please don't go' - indeed ... :)

Thank you for your wonderful poem, and I loved the image, where did you find it? Did you write the poem 1st, and found the picture to go with it, or did you find the picture and then write the poem? It made me think that sometimes when you (or someone you know), is hurting, all you need is someone’s presence. It doesn’t matter what they say, as long as they stay beside you.

First of all, interesting presentation! It seems like the words are falling into a deep well, never to be found again. Without speaking what's on your mind, your bound to fall. Take the risk, say something, you'll be glad you did... even though it might scare you! Thanks for sharing!!

How many times have I stood silently at the end of a crumbling bridge.
There are a couple I should've backed way up on, run, and jumped. Grabbed that person and never let go.

Same...........
Words are the essence of a full mind… a full breath, without words, we fall into darkness, we call for help to get us out of a sand pit ( where we can’t breath) so please get me out of this mess.
Good point noodle!

A second visit as there are no new poems from your distinguished pen Mr E. Always on returning to your work, there is something new to be gleaned. Here I thought long and hard on communication, or rather lack of it and how utterly devastating the results can be. Warm wishes from across the pond.

Isn't it funny how at times we lack the courage to speak our truths, we lack the courage to face head on an issue that may be so easily solved with a few mere words.

I remember having a conversation with a friend years ago. He never had a good relationship with his brother and he had not spoken to him in years and it was he who actually said 'it only takes one person to pick up the phone and make the call and then all previous issues have a chance at evaporating' it's so true. This is a strange fear.

Something I have always told my boys is - there has to be one person who is always prepared to be the better person.

Even though the above may not be in context with th poem - I can truly relate to the stranglehold lack of words can have. This is why I will always speak to force a solution when there are people I truly love involved.

I really like this one, the relatability of it, due to fear of failure... it all works together very well. It's true though, as others have said, what is success without failure? It wouldn't be nearly as satisfying, but the message you write here is great.

Yeah, interpersonal relation failures are the worst. They are much worse than career failure, and they scare more deeply. A very interesting and powerful write.
