Changes

Changes

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

"Changes"
apophonic harps ringing in my ears
I hit the wall of my obsessions
My senses of expression
we just can't hold hummingbirds
(Can We?)
rivers run through  rocks
please don't sing for me     ~         a
plaintive keening
don't tell me  your art
(Show Me)
alterations to a tailor like a
calico kitten's soft      ~      rough
rouged tongue
don't write those things  for me
(i thought my prayers would get me closer)
Sailor mendicant, hearing the sirens' wailing
finger tips          ~           map tats
trace story lines of mermaids           and
the deep               where fish creatures glow effervescent
(i wish i had not run so fast)
may i read your palm?
reel with me
in you          -         swirls
Divine intervention
(there is the Tunnel)
peacocks fanned tail  extravagance
melding pot calamity
great love        the
living of the dead
(There is the Light)
On Winds and clouds
lithe bodies bound
flights in fancy fandango
i
    i
        i
            i .................

I always have a smile from reading your poetry E. Amazing depth once more and I wish the world could see such skill as yours, remarkable :) There is a process to this piece in my eyes...a layered building up to a completion of recognition, not just a wander through imagery but an actual process, very cleverly executed and articulated. Sometimes dreams and hopes are so fragile they tear along the jagged path on this journey called life but the living on and holding on to faith and acceptance make living a little easier sometimes...life is an art and your art glows brightly in bold metaphor, wonderful E :)

This is the first piece I've read, the title lured me in, as I'm going through some changes myself. I'm not good at this review stuff, but the layers of your poetry and the visuals/emotions captured my imagination and most inner sentiments. Looking forward to reading more of you.

Changes come in so many guises' more than likely the virus is uppermost in peoples' mind at present. But Man has had to adapt to flood, plague, mystery, alchemy, hell and brimstone, etc in varying degrees over this planet's conspicuous lifetime. Yes? And yet, we survive because over time we'vee learned to accept or adapt to changes Plus, how to stand up to them even though that is part of many learning curves, too many perhaps.. but curves are bendable!

Your words always step off and away from the normal because you use gloves when writing: state without arrogance or pain - quite a rarity because so many peeps see the 'pen' as a tool. Thank you for drumming up thoughts and feelings at a time when we need our batteries wound up in order to survive! .

times and change; we pursue one while the other nibs at our heels. Seems like yesterday I was 31 and forever was my playground. Now, I feel the hot breath of Time on my neck and dare not look back :)

Okay Einstein what the heck is in the water in Pork Rind Arkansas? This may be my absolute favorite poem of yours ever! it is electric from the stanzas reference to the one line whispers tween them:) Such a wonderful formless- form... placed so courageous and bold! The "I wish I had not run so fast" line is an empathetic gut punch of emotion:) WOW Boom Poetry dear sir

Good morning, E. :)
When we hit that wall going as far as we can along a "path" we have to change if we want to keep going further. Nature's best survival strategy is adaptation. It's no different for us. Sometimes we're forced into change by our environment or people in our lives. Thought provoking write. Keep dancing!

I had to read this one a few times. I actually do not know much Bowie but the poem is phenomenal. I love the line where you say "please do not sing for me." I feel like this a lot. Sometimes I just want to be left alone.

Bowie sure was ahead of his time.
Strange thing, change, we know it has to happen, though sometimes it happens without us knowing.
I suppose though, this year is the real change for the world. I suppose in a way, this is world war 3, and at the moment the virus is winning. We'll get over it, and change will happen again. Maybe even a fandango to boot.

You too, Einstein, onwards and upwards.
This pleases me very much says i! Going into my favorites says i! It reminds me of those girls and guys that say " don't come any closer, why aren't you closer?" use the corresponding face for the corresponding emotion (Meg in Movie French Kiss) They don't but maybe they do.. no means no, yes means yes. :P pffft

No wonder you are called the Einstein. You might have to write the formula in physics terms sir( The only constant is change ).
I can never get enough of your writes and constant wisdom. Change happens indeed in small increments or sudden bursts. Change can be good or bad depending on intent and circumstance. There is change within and change without. There is a natural change and a forced one. I love how you you go down the list and highlight these things.
Long live the pen of Einstein.
