dear Gene... I met Roger at "Bronco Billy's" in 1987 with a
Band that arrived at seven pm every night.
I had my eyes on a Cowboy at the end of the Bar.
I asked him to dance, and he said, "Not unless they play
"Because of you, God made Oklahoma". I returned to my
Table, thought for awhile, and then asked the Band to
play that song. I have kept him in Cowboy Boots to this day.
He has kept me "In line" ever since. I think your poem is
very whimsical. truly, Pat

This is an awesome share, Pat! Such an inspirational pair, you two! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
This is both visually and poetically brilliant - love it! Love the pics, the difference one to the other and the near formal compared with the gorgeous line dance guy's cool, ' I only line dance ma'am! ....................."
I did a little ballet when young (a billion years ago) and occasionally go to line-dance evenings, fun and games.. love them both, in spite of their differences. The one flies and swirls, the other glides and stomps.. what a partnership on any floor, be it a twosome or a group-some, come to think of it!

Love the David Bowie tune E.! Have never tried line dancing (yet!) but your evocative words and imagery comparing ballet to line dancing is spot-on perfection. Very enjoyable read and now I’ll go buy some snakeskin cowboy boots-ha!

Well, being one of those men type things you'll have heard of, I would personally prefer to eat my own feet than use them to dance with.
Just another difference in a long list of differences between us. Women do it properly and we do it just badly enough not to be asked to do it again. You know, like the dishes, cleaning, laundry etc 😀
Always great to see new words from you E.

A fun read for sure E..you're so vey welcome my friend
Love the Bowie track Mr E. Your own lines most welcome, it is good to see something new from your pen. I enjoyed this little scenario very much along with your posted images. Never tried line dancing, but I very much enjoy watching it. Love to dance though and do so all the time. Dance in the house when doing my housework while no one's looking:)
Dance to my heart's content. All good wishes.
