Seedlings

Seedlings

A Poem by Einstein Noodle

Exterminate.
forest rainbow leaves, fall and
open thickened skins to winter
brittle arms creak ........ moan
grey red-brown coyote
tip toe trotting
another weaving thread
quick eyes glancing back
                                                                   gone
Solastalgia shackle shaking
shadow tree trunks pin drop silence
coyote pin ball clanging
clinging
ringing
"...the bells the bells the bells"
She decanted the best of me.
even a crooked tree
reaches skyward
moon and brown
muley eyes saccade
quivering a nightmare
rewilding stubborn as
an outrage
Outrage
alluring dark temptations
erase
Erased.

Dear Mr.E, sometimes we don't need to understand all the meanings of the written words, but to dwell and feel, overwhelmingly feel... the rhythm of Your lines stuck in my head, somewhere there You spoke to me of deep loss and deep pain, when I reached this "She decanted the best of me." with the important dot "." of it, I felt a little twinge in my heart, as if I was waiting to read this, for me this was You speaking to, of and for nature as "Your" nature, as if She is Your beloved one, in all the seasons, times, days or nights, You believe in her, and that she can rebirth, always she can.

this is like feeling the cold dark forest of pain surrounding us after a breakup...and that hope that we will find nourishment in and with another...i really like the "rewilding"
and to me...that is being alone again, foraging for love...and trying to erase the darkness surrounding us emotionally.
this is really descriptive and hard hitting.

The earth speaks to me here. She’s in a dark mood. Perhaps outraged...Shorn of her foliage, she stands bare and beautiful, scorning all creatures in this, her darkest phase. Trees as shadows stand hushed in reverence of her rage. I could relate to your words at a deeper level here, one that has no words, only a spiritual element 💕

It seems like just yesterday I looked at all the Fall leaves lying under trees in our expansive yard... knowing that they would nourish the earth... and now they are covered with snow that will quench the thirst of the earth. The seasons blend one into the other to make our world a place of beauty for all reasons under the sun. truly, Pat

Even a crooked tree reaches skywards.... That is just one of those lines I wish I had thought of E, amongst many. I was silently creeping closer to the screen, line by line and didn't realise I was "sitting, but on tippy toes", as my natural instinct is to sneak in my garden at night, to avoid snapping twigs to get to the fence at the end for a seat. I think that is called drawing the audience in. :)

The beginning is harsh, but nature is life and death.
Fast forward to the human animal. The most devious of all animals as you allude to in your decanted style.
She just poured you down the drain. That you can take, but to take your respect is criminal.

I really enjoyed the pace of this. Although the writing is non-linear, it flowed beautifully. That my friend, is what I call balance. Great work.

i see the imagery of an autumnal woodland in England, the coyote is a red fox seeking shelter where there is little foliage or den to hide. She will be hunted by horse and dogs...

These times that we live in witness to such rapid destruction the cries of which can be deafening. This is part of my overall theme of the incongruous patterns of existence humanity forces upon us all, nature included but we just make more drugs to numb the people and outsource the pollution. Coyote pinball what a brilliant metaphor. I get such a spinning whirlwind feeling from this cadence in these words. I think you have a few more bests left to decant in you however
