I loved geometry becuz defining space and objects is tangible, but algebra felt so damn meaningless with x's and y's & no concrete answers! I love your creativity in picking such a relatable idea to write a poem about! I love the way your mathematical terms could apply to many possibilities thru-out life, far from the buttons of any calculator! *smile* Hope your holiday season is sizzling with joy & good eats! I also hope this is a sign you're posting new writing more lately . . . my attendance has been sketchy, but I haven't seen you posting too much for a bit & we miss you! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Just like margie just said, I hate math but i liked geometry too! I took algebra 3 times before i passed it and the last time the teacher taught the class in front of my desk!!! This was so clever I enjoyed reading this so much and i'm very impressed with the cross references this was a ballsy undertaking and you pulled it off wonderfully!!! I simply must show this to one of my computer nerd friends i hope you don't mind she will love it.

Merry Christmas ... see you around
Geometry and poetry both contain the measurements of where we can go. One mentally, the other, emotionally. Although they are just tool, creatively used to fit as we wish. I guess pythagorean theorem could be used to reach the top of euphoria if you know how far away the bottom of despair has taken you. The distance is just a formula away.
Really enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.

You are taking us back to school times sir...As far as your name, you should be writing on physics. Just kidding. Very good comparison between poetry and geometry on the axis of thought and feeling resolutions.

ps i could barely stand my math classes .. any of them ... in my senior year i quite going to math and science classes and was done for the day around 11 AM ...needless to say my appreciation for both sciences has changed :)
This morning as I began to log in to WC, it occurred to me what an inspiring and comfortable place this has become for me.
There are so many talented people sharing, encouraging, teaching and learni.. more..
