this is a lipogram i wrote for a class (same class the cinquaine was written for) the lipogram, for those who are unfamiliar with, is a poem using one vowel only. i chose "E"

"The Deep"

The endless Ether

left deep clefts                                        

heed me

keep knees free

                                     enter the descent

                                                                     Hell's decree bends the rent

See me!?

Steep we creep

Spent.

Endless Ether we flee

The Aether, or ether, is a theoretical "medium" which is necessary in order for light, electromagnetic waves, gravity etc.to travel from one place to another ... it's accepted the debate continues on just what it is composed of .. gives me a headache to figure that one out. The "discussions" have been going on for a very long time ;)
