My snow
December's moon
Beleaguering too soon
the hearth that holds a fiery heat
now cold

I think it's quite lovely and could easily be a metaphor for love

A productive exercise. You paint a nice panorama with your cinquain. The format serves as a proper vehicle for eloquent commentary on a heady topic. So impressive your triumph that I sat down and wrote my own first cinquain. Thanks for your inspiring post.

It is posted. Feel free to have a go at it. It was fun to write. Thanks for the inspiration.
Ah! the thrill of Decembers moon and the luster that it brings along. Usually, this week is my favorite of the year with the thanks and the giving but will all the medical procedures that I'm enduring I think that December Moon is going to be more my friend this year. Though I am still giving great thanks in my life and being a part of this and reading poets like you. I have learned a great deal here and love the Reads, Writes, Reviews! Thanks. E!

Nicely done Sir, and I must say I like this format. I do like the shorter formats that challenge us to speak a volume in so few words. I am duly impressed, but not for the reminder of the chill :)
I might even give it a go myself methinks.
