An appropriate "captcha", Gene.
Well,there won't be any fermenting of my olde carcass … it will end as ash. I like the word "fermenting", though, as it brings to mind the fizz, foam, and froth of beer, as bizarre as the thought of "body beer" is … oh-MY!
Now, talk about mind bending, this is the epitome of abstract poetry to wrap our grey cells around. But, considering the "premise" ; ) of reincarnation, it makes perfect sense … LOL!
Almost, a Senryu, with the exception of L2, but that can be easily remedied with an "of".

I like the way your mind works, Gene … you're every bit as weird as me, if not weirder! ⁓ Richard : )

how did i miss that?!! thanks so much sir! will fix it right away ... and thank you for noticing the captcha ..funny how those things ring appropriate so many times ... the fermenting of beer ... now that touches on a very close note with me...my younger daughter came to visit and for Father's Day brought me a gift of a beer making kit .. just this morning I watched the video provided online and have read the instructions once ..so i am just about ready to make the leap ... not to the grave my friend ... not until fermentation is complete ;) great comments my friend ... thanks so much! now let me see if i can fix that little glitch to my liking

Well Dang Richard and Gene... I sure am not gonna ask you two what's brewing? Have I really been away so long that everyone is fermenting? However... I am correcting you both... There will be no Resurrecting. Have you not heard the song? " In Heaven there is no Beer" That means No Fermentors or Formenting Allowed :-)

last Sunday i bottled my first batch of beer ..it sits now patiently in the dark cool cellar for 2 wks or so...at which time i WILL resurrect it ...fermenting accomplished ... and i will tilt the first one to you Cry Baby! ...and yes...you are gone too long in my books

Oh Wow Granny Clampet would be as proud as I am.. I can't wait till testing time. Good Job ! I miss you guys too. Last year was a Tough one. I lost my Sister and My dog. I can't seem to digest it yet. But I'm working hard.. i wish I was close enough when taste testing come.

i'm so sorry for your losses Kate :( i wish you were close as well ... but i will think of you first as i open that first bottle ..have to admit i am a little scared about it .. i went to Caracas, Venezuela way back in '66 or so and i brought back a bottle of wine and put it away with the romantic notion of opening it when married .. on my honeymoon night (about 12 yrs later) i did just that ...aging did not do good things to this bottle of wine ..it was pretty much pure vinegar from the taste and smell of it .. :} but we had a good laugh about it ..didn't need the liqueur anyway ...it wasn't that long afterward my first daughter was born ;)

I adore the "Remains" of the poem. Kurt Cobain is a legend even though I never thought he was a genius. I don't like when artists kill themselves since I have battled through suicide. Thank you for sharing this. :D The poem itself is beautifully dark.

oh Vria...that means a lot to me .. loss of life is always tragic in some way or another .. even when monsters die they leave the tragedy of non-closure behind them .. your struggles are precious my friend .. as are your gifts ... glad you like this one ... i have a strong belief in facing our own frailties and decay ..with aplomb, a smile and graciousness ..never hurrying .. never dallying ;)))

wonderful...one of the more powerful Haiku's especially when you say it out loud and in one breath..In the end you get dizzy, have to drink something cool, with large cubes of ice in it...
Try speaking this one aloud....try to keep your voice at the same pitch while you get to the end..
You can't. because pitch is slavish to meaning and

Seems your mind took a sweet turn when you wrote these words, my friend... brief, succinct and strangely inspiring thoughts here to there and back again. Your daughter's gift might have set you off, or perhaps there's been something brewing deep within for some time.. what- and whichever has certainly resulted in food for thought and yet again, admiration for the way you produce your wonders.

I imagine that you wanted to hint at the cycles of birth and rebirth here perhaps, trying to connect dying to being reborn...the way the decaying gets fermented and transformed into something more valuable, something more beautiful than its predecessor.

It's weird, I have this recollection of nuts in the backyard, climbing trees and something about a car coming near me. Hmm? well, never mind.
