Aaaagh! What is hiding in the vines that Dear Jenny the skototrope, climbs?? Flourish no more who-or-whatever you are! Can I say- Killer song (pun intended) & poem?-Yes! Brilliant in word use, ascending-descending form, creepy evocative imagery- everything! Great-read! Kudos!

Plants moving toward the light. Skototropism. Between the leaf and the stem. Peoples. Now I'll go see if it hurts any less.....it helped actually. Wormrain in the brain has E!
You just made me want to be a buttercup all over again, sow ya did... what a bloomin brilliant and quite necessarily creepy, but otherwise both poetic and visual bit o poetry you planted here.. plenty long enough ago now methinks, for Jenny to have established her roots and conquered the garden good and proper... All Good Things to ya Gene....Neville

It took me a while just to start on this review. Man, I really had to do my homework. I love the way you jazzed everything up. Ascending and descending and spacing. It was a joy to look at before you even read it. Enjoyed the poem, but I am always on the look out to cut down anything that overvines. Your words show that creativity is far from dead. CD

I remember a movie similar to this that I watched that might be why. you're welcome.
Your writing style can sometimes create "scandent lianas" (had to google both words) . . . and me being a plant lover, this sent me to google as well & the answer was a reward: skototropism. Sometimes I sit in my wheelchair at the front door & admire the jumble of growth beyond . . . it feels kinda like this msg (((HUGS)))

Researching words can be the fun part of writing, huh? Ya gotta have a love of words! *smile*
It has a slightly eerie feel..i absolitely loved how you made the words stretch literally!
Favourite lines -
"Fish and seaweed and teas of rare ambiguity :)"
I also liked your use of "wormrain"...it sounds like "vermin" and also allows us to imagine the worms that the rain brings to the surface... (I don't know if the connection between wormrain and vermin was voluntary, but it sounded like a pun to me)

Complacency vs struggle and the collision, undefined here, can be magnificent or catastrophic, or even both in turn.
Nicely written. I will admit to needing to look up a word. Which I kind of like.

There's always that "one" who changes everything. The one who makes you forget all the lessons you learned and all the hurt you felt before. Inevitably history will repeat, but onward and upward we go. A bit eerie, but interesting write. Lydi**
