Solo posted this on her pages a while back so i apologize if you have already read it :} but if you read again .. i hope you are happy with the time spent.
I'm impressed with a number of things here. elements in the work. Firstly and not in any order of importance; the ornithological correct detail. not many know about pigeon or dove milk.
Secondly it goes without saying that this is a seamless collaboration and perhaps not finally the number of subtle undercurrents there are in this work. A truly remarkable piece.

dear E... Mourning Doves are as essential as Sunshine and Rain... they share our Pain.
They are God’s messengers on earth. Amen

Amazing! I've loved this song all my life -- a favorite. One of my dogs is Paloma (dove in Spanish). Plus we have doves around here & I could visualize this whole thing as I was reading. The first time I shot a shotgun, I was dove hunting & I got a black eye from the kick. So many thoughts & memories jamming my head as I read this. My first dove-hunting trip was so memorable, I should write the story. Your poem is a grand inspiration! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Spanish for dove .. how cool my friend .. not wonder you connected with this one on more than one level .. please let me know if you do write that story .. i would not want to miss it!
One can feel the movement of their wings within your words. What a wondrous collab, how it sings from a deep, melancholy place. And I can hear them now, moving across my garden.

Transcendent intertwining of talent in this collaborative work. The words flutter and fly, hesitate and fall with such haunting imagery "They whistle through tails when they leave." Disturbing, dark ballet. Kudos to both poets!

I am humbled by your words sir, and thank you for the blessing- appreciated more than you can know!
This really is a wonderful extravagance of language, and, the fact that it was created by two 'separate' writers is extraordinary, there's not a space between two fine minds. Beautiful... sad in a way but... special.
