Rainbow Cafe

Rainbow Cafe

A Poem by Einstein Noodle
"

i hope you will check out the video ..i think it is very cool :)

"
Rainbow Cafe
sharp points as water

drops ... suspending
                    change to
global
          and like

frozen amber
                  smooth.

nature and law insist
that light refracts
                        pass through and is
white of all
                color which lights the
skies ..

          rainbow

write here at

                   this cafe.

Author's Note

Einstein Noodle
A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.
refraction:the fact or phenomenon of light, radio waves, etc., being deflected in passing obliquely through the interface between one medium and another or through a medium of varying density.

The formatting of your words added a lot to this write, E. Yes, we are a rainbow at the cafe....we come from all over the world, are all colors, and religions. We come together because we love words...and it works. If only the world could find a common ground like this. We are a rainbow. I tried to watch the video, but science class was never my favorite so I did not get through it all. Liked the line, "It's okay to be smart."....yup! Great presentation. Lydi**

I wish I had seen this before I wrote 'Fluent in Color'. I like that idea of yours that as light retracts through a raindrop it becomes sharp with color. Each one of us writing drops has filled my bow with rain!

What a splendid kaleidoscope of form and hue you have created for us all here to consider and savour as we so please.
It seems each word & every line where lines apply, have been strategically placed, adding deceptive depths
to intrigue and variously interpret each time we visit this page......Another darn good un E.....Cheers, Neville

Rainbows are utterly fascinating because they are both concrete and abstract.

The science portrays rainbows as concrete to a certain point. However, sight is the sole sense it triggers since you cannot touch, taste, smell, or hear them. Its spectrum it beautifully created from light and sun. Thank you for sharing the video since it compliments this concept very well.

Abstract qualities of rainbows can be philosophical and spiritual. The most common interpretation is that these colors represent various personalities as one. We need diversity as creators; the oppositions completes the yin yang.

Spiritual qualities of rainbows range in a spectrum. Pun intended. :P For instance, I am fasinated by color symbolism which leads me into the concept of chakras. Chakras was developed by Eastern civilizations that organized seven of them to indicate spiritual parts of the body:

1. RED: Root Chakra — Represents our foundation and feeling of being grounded.

2. ORANGE: Sacral Chakra — Our connection and ability to accept others and new experiences.

3. YELLOW: Solar Plexus Chakra — Our ability to be confident and in control of our lives.

4. GREEN: Heart Chakra — Our ability to love.

5. BLUE: Throat Chakra — Our ability to communicate.

6. INDIGO: Third Eye Chakra — Our ability to focus on and see the big picture.

7. VIOLET: Crown Chakra — The highest chakra represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually.

Now look what you've done. :P I sound like an encyclopedia. "Rainbows" is relevant to my current poetry I posted on healing crystals I have used to help my anxiety. Frankly, I have difficulty communicating so I wear "howlite" as a lucky charm so to speak. Most consider it a placebo, but it works for me.

Overall, I enjoy your presence here at the cafe. Thank you for sharing!

yours truly,
ria

Very nice write. I love the structure and how you guide the reader through your abstract ways of writing and imagery.

Rainbow cafe, an awesome creative title.

yep .. for sure!
this has made me think deeper already on this sunny Sydney morning ... yes the light refracts and seemingly makes things solid, real. A reminder that anything is possible and that is certainly a great chant to take out into the day ... my life as a rainbow ... ok you may have sparked todays poem ... hmmm lets see ... You present this as refracted and describe the colours (differences between each of us in our writing and our perception of other peoples work) within the Café. Nice analogy, flowing, fragments of form and a really watchable video. Thanks for posting it Einstein.

I love the formatting, and a lovely sentiment -- though sometimes the rainbow is a little murky and disjointed. I still hate explaining the whole white light thing to my kids. Makes a rainbow into a formula.:)
