funny how we see little kids playing together...all of them, not a care in the world and not a prejudiced bone in their bodies...then they grow up and learn it---from those who came before...we seem to have come so far since the 60's in some ways and yet not far at all...still the same old thought process...and your poem speaks to that concept...we are all different, especially those who have phobias against the others who are. I see the "born blind" more as born blind of the differences and then the eye sight and heart sight improves...in a bad way...and then we see the differences and focus too much on them...in a negative way...

Blood, sure it's all red.
You would think with the short span we have in life, you wouldn't have time for racism.

This is interesting, but I must say I did get caught in the words 'Born Blind' ... hmm I wonder ... we ae born one moment and in that moment, that tiniest slice of infinite now, we are free, not only free, but we are wide awake to the cradle of love offered by the universe.
But not for long....
For then we are predisposed of conditioning from every direction north, south, east, and west, the conditioning is so much it actually CAN BLIND US!!!
I honestly don't think we are born blind, I do think our parents and families, the society we reside, the news that we watch, the communities in which we hang, the type of language we speak (including love), all have a direct influence on the people we become.
From what I have observed racism is passed down through generations ... hate is something people hold in their hearts not realising that they gift it unnecessarily to everyone in their presence. Racism stems from other living breathing souls who themselves have been taught to be xenophobic ... taught!
No we are not Born Blind - in fact when we are born - for that tiny fraction of space and time it is really only the real freedom most will ever know.
Racism is a gift, whether you choose to accept it or not is your FREEDOM of choice.
As you can see I got stuck right there on Born Blind ... Ha!
I do however enjoy the succinctness of this piece, I can learn from that X

This is powerfully written for so few words. I really like how you have applied a concrete form of separation. Racism only further divides.

Those last three words say it all as far as I'm concerned.
We are all equally different from one another.
Super powerful message delivered in a super compact poem.
