funny how we see little kids playing together...all of them, not a care in the world and not a prejudiced bone in their bodies...then they grow up and learn it---from those who came before...we seem to have come so far since the 60's in some ways and yet not far at all...still the same old thought process...and your poem speaks to that concept...we are all different, especially those who have phobias against the others who are. I see the "born blind" more as born blind of the differences and then the eye sight and heart sight improves...in a bad way...and then we see the differences and focus too much on them...in a negative way...

Einstein Noodle,
Beautiful message. The living one speaks and do we listen. Humanity is so huge and not separate from one another. Isolation, bigotry, stuck-upityness, and hang ups about our differences..........wow. Its amazing to me that their is any good at all when we watch and read the news.............So thanks for you words. Blessings Kathy

Yes indeed, they're blind and indifferent or so it seems, we all bleed the same colour so what's their problem?
Interesting, thought-provoking short poem E. 'great line too.. ' born blind as far as the eye can see '

Blindness as in blinders, a world outlook and understanding is socially taught from every pore of society we live in.... but we humans are many things and have great potential for all kinds of ideas and actions, many human natures, none of them hot wired at birth or due to genes... over our life times we change countless times our views and ideas of how we see the world...
the thing about racism, or any kind of negative ideas against different peoples, the idea that might makes right definitely blinds us and more allows us to commit or look the other ways great crimes against humanity... like your graphic shows we are all of us one people of one planet and its all we have... think of the great things we could accomplish without such blindness and blinders... I think we had better hurry too because we could also extinct ourselves with this blindness...
nicely stated E. and I appreciate your spacing of the words.. makes for a stronger message..

Blind, blindfolded: hands extended, fingers feeling face - mouth, nose, eyelids, brows, smooth skin or creviced with wear - we become colou-rless and 'near enough ageless. Just as blood is red when skin's cut, just as scent absorbs then exudes surroundings... we are who and what we are yet same because:- We're a set of traffic lights: 'Red for overly aware, Amber for under-prepared yet should be Green in the understanding of being more than unique in our sameness.
Your brief post encompasses more than truth and daring; it shouts dignity and respect.

I take it that with born blind you mean people who have zero connectedness with others. They think they are alone in a boat and their boat is bigger. While of course it is clear we are all in the same boat.
We are all imperfect and the greatest imperfection is unawareness.

This is a very poignant write that describes the 'condition' in a few profound words. Well done dear friend and thank you for putting a light on the subject that is the basis of so much pain and suffering.
