WATCHED

WATCHED

A Poem by WILDERNESS

In the middle of the night

I sat up and saw me sleeping

Like a man who had just died

I could see him that was me

Felt for the person that lay

For the values he held dear

Things that defined his being

People that he loved and hated

But did he know that one day

He would forever sleep

Only to be pondered over

As I watched him now

 that was me

I really like this poem, I like that its a reflection of the future, if that makes sense. I read it a few times and I think that you set it up well for the end. Thank you for sharing!

Interesting...an astral observation...makes the reader think on what we leave behind and how we should only leave behind the good heartedness...much enjoyed WILDERNESS :)
