When Angels Cried

The ghastly event of 16 Dec 2014 was very very disturbing for us when 130+ school children were killed by terrorists. It took time for me to come to grips with reality and pen my thoughts on it......

When Angels Cried

(16 Dec 2014)

 

When men of God turned worst to beasts

And unleashed terror of horrific kind

 

When mankind lost all its virtues

And humanity was nowhere to find

 

When life lost its meaning altogether

And tragedy unheard began to unwind

 

When blood poured through the eyes

And the heart stopped as if in a grind

 

When deafening silence pierced the ears

And left a sick numbness in the mind

 

When angels came down in hundreds

And little souls were carried in bind

 

When God’s throne held back the light

And dead darkness was all that shined

 

When heavens filled with strange reverence  

That day, along with us, even angels cried
