A CITY BY THE SEA

A City by Sea

Some day
I'll take a boat
and sail out
to the sea.
Find a nice island,
some company.
Fall in love
with a simple girl,
raise a family.
Make a clan
grow into a town
named after me.
It may emerge
with roads and shops,
rules and laws
to run the new city.
Tourism and trade
will surely follow
bringing in good
but also,
some bad company.
And when things
start to go ugly.
And you happen
to live there.
Just take a boat
and sail out

to the sea.
