The Bird and the Bush

The Bird and the Bush

A Poem by SKIP Faherty

The Bird and the Bush

A pair they never were. Neither one of fame. One would whistle a song of thrill. The other claiming wrongful  fame. The breast of the Bird bursts with song of lust. The Bush stabbing with wasted and deadly air. Bird the natures bane. Bush the hateful  curse. Are they one and the same.
