White Water Rush

White Water Rush

A Poem by SKIP Faherty

Whitewater rush,

Carry away,

Distant ferry,

Worn and lonely,

Thought of not,

Wishes of no end,

That repels me.

Instead, wake,

My old and forlorn,

Soul of longing,

Show your beauty,

The wealth you’ve given,

Sound of mighty,

Crush on music,

That has captured me.

Cleanse and churn,

Release, then restore,

Earths yielded,

Compelling wonder,

Given freely,

One and all,

Not blinded,

Towards you.
