The Rose

The Rose

A Poem by SKIP Faherty

Smooth, Silky, Pedal,

Stems Blackened Tips,

Blossom rayed,

Reason laid arrest.

Trice, mentally waylaid,

Moment’s pleasant dream,

Departure deeply cherished,

Reminisce without routine.

Realism must be recovered,

Daily bliss must I return,

Memories will be carried,

Offer that I yearn in esteem.
