A Barren Crevass

A Barren Crevass

A Poem by Ezekiel Silver
"

Year poem was written: 2013

"

      Decay hidden in the darkness,

         with no sound of life.

Void of fresh soil or green earth,

         abundant with cold rock.

       A never ending night unveiled,

         given immortality.

       Home to death and sorrow,

         left without light.

       Cracked from the granite ground,

         unwelcomed by the living.
