Tear-Stained Grave

Tear-Stained Grave

A Poem by Ezekiel Silver
"

Year poem was written: 2013

"

      Heartache poisons the soul's veins,

         making it hollow ash.

Decaying the joy of the lover,

         until none survives.

      The weeping of life-long passion,

         lingering into bitter stone.

Anguish never leaving the weary spirit,

         an unbearable pain.

       Death's cold grip clutches tightly,

wrapped in the warmth of living flesh.

Haunting the lonely man in this world,

          without mortal end.
