The RunawayA Poem by Ezekiel SilverYear poem was written: 2012
He flees for a land of isolation.
Fearing all but solitude. Outcasted by everyone within society. Chased by gruesome predators. Searching for a place he can belong in. With the hope of sanctuary. This boy longs for others who understand him. For people just like him. He has no family or friends to call for help. He is abandoned and neglected. Left in a world of cruelty and greed. Forced to survive on his own. This lost and wandering boy is simply called, the runaway.
