My Dear Friend DeathA Poem by Ezekiel SilverYear poem was written: 2013
Time has cleaned me out of ignorance.
Filling me with tragic wisdom. Sorrow has dried my eyes of all tears. Numbing my heart of pain. Darkness has turned from foe to friend. Life will soon be a memory. The afterlife holds a new journey. I find hope in age. I welcome my oldest of companions. My dear friend Death.
