Prisoners of FleshA Poem by Ezekiel SilverYear poem was written: 2012Our spirits have become chained by greed and lust, starving for love and joy. We are left with a bottomless hole in our hearts, unable to fill it.
Hatred and anger will never quench our thirst, only increase it. Sorrow has become our soul's dungeon walls, faith in God now neglected.
Our very humanity has been stripped away from us, locked away by Death. We have been beaten until we are nothing more than, prisoners of flesh. © 2012 Ezekiel SilverFeatured Review
