chain of gratitudeA Poem by Eyudo
Chain of gratitude
It starts with.. A women goes to a store And buys groceries for four She can't get the door But a stranger holds it for her Clink! There goes a link So she finds a kitten And names him little mitten She finds a lonely man She offers mitten to him And he says with joy that he can Clink! There goes a link A student in college came to him And he let her in She needs tuition and has a fundraiser In a good mood he buys a lot and pays her So she can keep her classes And finally afford her glasses Clink! There goes a link She takes her parents to dinner in celebration And feels a very good sensation While they are there Her parents tip quite fair So the server has a good night And everything's alright Clink! There goes a link So the server is on the way home And sees a man on the pay phone She stops and he gets in the car She gives him a ride home which isn't too far Clink! There goes a link Well back at his house His kids come around He spends more time with them And really acts more like a dad So they look up to him And they have a role model of kin Clink! There goes a link The kids want to make him proud And their grades show that out loud They start to get A's and B's And no more failing D's So they grow up more kind And put those manners in their child's minds Clink! There goes a link So their children were taught well And were good as an angel So when their neighbor was feeling ill For a small get well gift they foot the bill So they got him a card too And he felt less blue Clink! There goes a link So when he felt better And there was some good weather He went to an old man And cut his grand since he couldn't stand The old man was glad And he didn't do half bad Clink! There goes a link So the old man wrote his will And left it on the window sill It said to leave all his riches To the homeless in the city For he felt and had pity One homeless for sure Got on his feet and assured Clink! There goes a link So the guy who benefit Come to and out of his pit He one day went to the store And for a women helped by holding the door And the chain grows more.. © 2009 Eyudo |
