An empty picture frame on the wall
In front of me is a barren dull white wall In a room that use to celebrate life Now the room is dusty and empty of all Except one thing I can see in the light Upon the abandoned wall of this room Something I truly almost missed A large empty picture frame At first I'm unsure what to think of this I stare at it like a masterpiece Only to realize it really is It gains view to me with new lease It gives me sight of everything in nothing A perfect piece of art never looks done But one thing makes it greater When the picture was never even begun Imagine the gravity of its potential The secrets it may have held What this artist thought of to do All his thoughts in the empty frames are retained Or maybe his statement was black And his message meant to be empty as well And maybe he wasn't an artist And it was just put there to swell Or maybe he saw the wall was the art since the frame and the wall aren't far apart And however looks the wall that stands behind Was given it as his final design So the empty frames holds questions And we can only ponder and assume suggestions But the answer lies here carved in the frame "True things in life cannot be painted That would just be insane." © 2009 Eyudo |
