Body paint of orange and black
All down her body and back
Painted stripes and a tail to match
Adding whiskers and some ears to attach
Sharpening her nails and color contacts in her eyes
Her little transformation is almost complete
Practicing her movements and growl was wise
Now she can be how she feels in a beautiful feat
The body of a human, but the soul of a tiger
Once a month she does this and no one can find her
She changes and goes out in the forest
She roams the grounds and releases the burden from her chest
She stalks and hunts and runs free
Watching with sight she eagerly sees
She looks the part and plays it perfect
Her heart is in it without defect
A rare vision none usually catch
She walks the woods and curious ventures
Her prey is near which she will vigorously fetch
A chase and fight she will endure
Laying in the sun as she bathes
Feeling finally happy and unscathed
She is the tiger and she knows
This is the time when it truly shows
Only for a day can she play this way
Then its back to her proper form
But a purr and a growl in one last time
To the world she warns!
So it’s over for now to the next time
When she can be that tiger in her prime
Under her skin is her true colors of black, orange, and white
The girl with tiger stripes
