Chapter 8: animal wars?A Chapter by Eyudo
“Why uh oh?” I asked, “Is it that bad?” Everyone stopped and watched the triumphant black rabbit drag the dead white one away. “Yeah” Jennifer said. “What now?” Amanda asked sarcastically. “I think we’re in the middle of a fabled and odd war…” Oh wow. This was interesting. “Care to explain?” I asked. “Sure,” Jennifer said, “ They are the AWA/ABA wars. We seem to be in one of the battlefields. This battle has been going on secretly in the mytho world for one hundred years. It’s the All White Animals versus All Black Animals war. Their different of colors somehow sparked a war after an elaborate set of argument. Now they fight mercilessly until one color will be dominate and nothing more will to be argued over.” We looked around for more of the animals that may have been fighting and saw them pretty fast. To one side away from us we saw a ton of little black dots off in the distance. And to the other side we saw tons of white dots far off in the distance. Then as I glanced to the empty two sides I saw that there were colored looking dots off on the distance of each side of us on the two sides away from the black and white sides. “EMCA,” Amanda said with a groan, “Every Multi-Colored Animal. Of course there has to be the heroes and they try to stop the war. This is all ridiculous that all these things ‘suddenly’ show up.” She groaned again. When the black and white dots came closer I saw what kind of animals each side was made of. There were rabbits, mice, cats, dogs, horses, birds of all kinds, bears and cows. There weren’t too many reptiles and amphibians since there aren’t many white and black ones. The EMCA had all the other animals that weren’t just black or white (though some who realized the war was stupid who were only white or black). On one side of the two EMCA groups was led by a cow and a zebra (both black and white), and the other side of the EMCA was lead by a penguin and a Dalmatian. They all came closer and closer on each side, not really trying to get us, we were just in there way unfortunately. But I thought about why they would be fighting over looks. Normally we would call barbaric behaviors like this animalistic, but in this case they were more acting human-ish. So I pondered it (real fast) and thought about something. Literally they “saw” the other animal as black or white…only because there vision they could only see in black or white! That was it! They were all color blind! I almost felt stupid that it was that easy to fix, all I had to do was give them color vision maybe. Then they could see things in a “different perspective” so-to-say. So as I continued to feel stupid, I focused and ran images of as many animals as I could through my mind and imaged the colors that I knew and sort of melted the two together in my mind and felt a pop. I opened my eyes and all the animal’s eyes colors had changed! They could see colors now! Though I have to say it is a little weird to give animals colored sight. They all skidded a bit to a halt and looked around in their newfound sight. They all looked confused as the black and white animals looked from the cow, to the Dalmatian, to the penguin, then to the zebra. Then they all viewed the colorful army standing behind those four. The war was over though. To be honest as much as animals are natural that was a very unnatural war. The animals sniffed around a bit then dispersed in all different directions. I hoped giving them the gift of color wouldn’t mess up the ecosystem or anything. Oh well. Well that being done and of course us not knowing where to go, the pyramid (or some natural force we never did understand) decided that it knew where to put us next. And it did this is a way we were getting use to. The ground shook slightly and then crumbled beneath us and we fell through, not a chance to grab on to anything. The place we fell through we could see after the ground split from us. It wasn’t as much a place as a swirling time warp, which we had no idea where it would lead too. Not much you can do when you’re warping a light speed through the fabrics of times. Though things were about to get very strange and who we will meet and for what is an amazing shock….. © 2009 Eyudo |
