He flies above
Whilst he runs below
Always together wherever they may go
He calls his home
In the forests he roams
And at the rivers edge
He calls his home
In the forests he’s flown
And from the trees to the skies
These two friends are shocking to see
In species and size are unsame
One is a wolf and the other a raven
But in this the show no shame
Playing and hunting
And chasing for fun
Around and around they can run
The wolf hunts for food
And the raven may scavenge
So then they may share
Never harming the other
Not of the same mother
But still brothers the same
Showing the world that we can all live
No need for the differences to matter
Really they are a pair
And it is all unfair
That they aren’t suppose to be happy
So they run and they play never hurting either one of them
Keeping themselves out of danger
Then comes along something so wrong
Here comes a human stranger
Both are captured and put in a cage
Though they protest in a rage
On two separate trucks, out of their luck
They are split up for good
Both to pet stores and one day to escape
Then to meet up again
Though it may be a while
Till they meet once more
They will be friends once again…..
