Breaking point

As I sit here in the silence, I remember the entire incident. It was a bright warm morning for once. I was in my English class, about the middle of the year or so, and we happen to have a new student that day.

He was fine and shy for the first couple of days or so, but after that he became a real animal. He picked on everyone and had a problem keeping his hands to himself. He defied all the authority and was always in so much trouble, but he never seemed to care. Once even a policeman came in for him and all he did was laugh.

He seemed almost inhuman sometimes. And this was only tenth grade! Unfortunately I sat right behind him. He would always steal my stuff, make horrid and sick comments, and touch my face and arms. I tried to ignore him for the longest time, but it never worked, and the teachers wouldn’t listen to me about it. Sometimes he would even steal my glasses off my face and lick them. But after a while of all this…..I just couldn’t take it anymore.

The next day after the terrible last I got into the class I had with him and he never showed up. I was relieved that he wasn’t there. Well I was glad, until after school. He showed up outside when everyone else was gone. He came up to me and started to get into my face. I tried to go around him but couldn’t as he blocked me from leaving.

I shoved him back away and he stumbled back and hit the brick wall of the side of the school pretty hard. He got mad and swung at me. I moved aside just in time. I pushed him back again, only this time he only stumbled back, he didn’t hit anything.

He charged at me with fire in his eyes now. He got me to the ground with his speeding strength of his shoulder and I hit hard. I don’t know what it was after that since I had a peaceful nature, but after that hit something inside me just snapped.

I grabbed his leg and aggressively yanked it out from under him with a hard force. He hit the cold hard concrete with the back of his head. He was instantly knocked out. I dragged him inside the school and up the stairways to the roof. I threw him off the roof ten feet down into a tree that was right next to the school. Then I fled the seen before anyone saw me.

A few days later he showed back up to school. He was in the hallway and looked at me with extreme fear. He was deaf now from the brain damage from the blow to the head on the concrete. He ran away to his next class. I still had to see him in English though.

When that time came, I walked into the room and towards the desk behind him and he was already there. As soon as he saw me he crumpled to the floor. As the teachers and faculty that were there, I heard him repeat something over and over again: “no more pain, no more pain, no more pain, no more pain, no more pain…..
