a star

a star

A Poem by Eyudo

A star

Shining bright

A ball of gas

Does it move at all?

None too fast

Glowing on

Forming shapes

Around when there is no sun

It goes down and they escape

Bursting out into the Milky Way

Never seeming to be the same

Sparkling, twinkling, blinking things

A symbol of night, a symbol of fame

Whispering to each other

The moon listens in

It is there mother

Keeping them up there away from sin

Lovers look upon them

Others travel there

Rockets to send

The others just look, so bright and fair

Studied by some

Just for fun

Enjoyed by a few

Normally couples of two

Shining bright

The darks nightlights

Put out when the suns up

Back when the day is done

A star

Looks so small and far away

I want to catch one

Maybe someday…..
