Band mate boredom
The four band members sat in the basement with their old friend boredom, waiting for anything interesting to happen. “Huh! Listen to this guys: the lead singer of Crossed is canceling their tour due to vocal fatigue. Whatever!” the singer said, putting down his paper. “I never get that.” he said proudly.
He turned to the guitar player who was leaning back in his chair with his guitar on his lap. “Do you ever get ‘finger fatigue’.” he said with a laugh. “Uh…NO! Duh!” the guitar player said, then he started playing as fast and as hard as he could.
Noises creaked from his amp and it sparked, setting it ablaze. “Yooow!” he yelled, throwing the burning guitar to the floor. Everyone else was laughing. The drummer grabbed the fire extinguisher as the singer hustled to answer the now ringing phone.
It was their band manager. “Hey dude,” he said, trying to stop laughing, “gonna have to call you back. Mikey blew up a guitar.” “WHAT!?!” the manager yelled. Too late, click.
They put out the fire just fine and fell back into their chairs laughing. “Dude! You’re like so awesome that the guitar couldn’t even handle you! Sweet!” The guitar players face went from red to grinning. “Want me to do it again?” he asked. “NO!” they said in unison, then leaned back again with stupid jokes and much self-amusion.
