Disturbing

There was that frightful day when we saw that dangerous guy and just escaped. I took my bike and rode over to see my girlfriend at her house. She met me outside her apartment and then told me we needed to go to her friend’s house. So we walked over there to see her friend at her apartment complex.

It was just starting to get dark on that summer day and every thing was nearly a blood red color due to the fading sun. We met up with her friend at the corner and finished walking to her apartment. We got to her apartment and just stayed outside playing.

We did small bike races, chased each other around, wrestled, and had so much fun. We also were whipping each other with very tall sticks and having fun, you know, being the fourteen year olds we were.

We ended up after a while lying in the grass next to each other looking up at the sky. Oddly enough there was s girl on each side…anyways, as we were talking I found out some disturbing things that I didn’t know about my girlfriend. It could shock anytime, she felt comfortable enough to tell me. She told me about her past and the molestation and being beaten and abused…..just enough to blow any ones mind. She said she was pretty much over it…pretty much…

See now, I’m the kind of guy your parents will trust out of almost everyone, because I have the skills to make them think I’m perfect when its all just acting. But it works. Her mother and father trusted me to the point where it was like creepy, and that’s probably why they trusted me with her after all that happened. Trust me…with their teen daughter?!? Oh well, their choice.

Getting back to the story…she hugged me tight after telling me with tears in her eyes. I comforted her, being good at that too. After a while we decided to move into the woods behind the apartments to mess around in there instead of out in a more open place.

We walked pretty far in and it was still getting darker and darker and later and later. We eventually found a good log we could sit on near a very small clearing way deep on in. we were there for quite awhile alone just hanging out and again being the fourteen year olds we happily were.

After a while longer I started to get a strange feeling, like we were being watched or someone was around or something. Both of them noticed I was acting weird. They asked what was wrong and I told them what I felt.

Then I saw him. There was a man standing in the bushes not to far away from us. I could see the white of his eyes even, that’s how close he was. “Maybe we should go,” I suggested, “It’s getting kinda late.” I said in a shaky voice. “No, not yet.” they said.

I looked over at the bushes again and saw something long, sharp, metallic and shiny. I had seen something like it before, my friend had one. It was a machete… “Trust me, we want to go, now.” I said. They understood and ran out of the woods with me.

Just as we exited the woods we heard a gunshot. We sat out front of the apartment, trying to recover from what happened…I told them what I saw. Her friend freaked out and went inside. So we were alone outside together thinking about what had happened. She lie in my lap crying and frightened like a little child.

Overall it was a scary and traumatic experience. Something freaky and unexpected. We were lucky to still be there and that nothing worse had happened. We were both very scared, but at least we weren’t scared and alone with it.
